Corporate Chronicles

Planning a celebration — no matter how small and simple — can be overwhelming. When the big day finally arrives, most people are happily exhausted and convinced they've covered every detail — invitations, menu, music, flowers . . .

But what about that awkward interval when guests are seated and waiting for the Guest of Honor to arrive?

Corporate Chronicles™ may be the answer.  Corporate Chronicles™ are personalized newsletters that introduce guests to the man or woman of the hour.

Think of the events you've attended. Usually, you know the Guest of Honor, and perhaps a bit about his or her journey up the corporate ladder. But what about the honoree’s special guests, family, hobbies, accomplishments, future plans and more?

Corporate Chronicles™ offer a unique activity to keep guests entertained and informed. Better yet, everyone has a treasured memento to keep.

The Corporate Chronicle™ Process

Creating a personalized newsletter is a multi-step process. Experience shows it's best to allow 14 to 16 weeks from start to finish.

If you decide Corporate Chronicles™ will enhance your special day, please reserve time on the schedule to ensure your newsletter receives top priority.

As soon as your deposit is processed, the Guest of Honor or a designee will receive a custom Corporate Chronicles™ questionnaire — hard copy, via e-mail or on computer disk.

Try to supply answers to all of the questions, but don’t worry about proper sentences, paragraphs, grammar or even spelling (except for proper names, of course). Just send the facts — a current resume will do for starters. We'll capture the emotion and other details during follow-up telephone interviews with the designee and eventually the Guest of Honor.

About two weeks after the interview process is complete, the first draft of your personalized newsletter will be ready to review for comments, corrections, questions and suggestions, as well as general tone and style. Together we will select the stories that will be included in your newsletter, then choose illustrations and paper.

As soon as your final payment is processed, camera-ready pages will be sent to the printer. Corporate Chronicles™ will be delivered in plenty of time for the big event.

How About Pictures?

Corporate Chronicles™ feature black and white graphics — line drawings, original caricatures, cartoons and silhouettes — to illustrate newsletter articles.

We recommend creating a photo collage of the Guest of Honor, pictured with many of his or her guests, to display at the reception.

Some companies also work with a professional videographer to prepare a video presentation, complete with music, to show at the big event.

How Much Do Corporate Chronicles Cost?

Chocolate roses, monogrammed matchbooks and other traditional favors are great. But you can't slip them into an album for safekeeping, or mail them across the country to people unable to attend the event. Corporate Chronicles™ become a treasured keepsake. In fact, they're the next best thing to being there.

Prices are based on the number of pages needed to complement the event, paper choices and the number of copies ordered. The more copies, the lower the unit price.

How Many Newsletters Do I Need?

Most companies use Corporate Chronicles™ as party favors — and as a unique activity to fill the moments when guests have arrived, but the action has not yet begun.

Clients report that after the event, guests scoop up the personalized newsletters to pass along to others, so it’s best to order a minimum of one copy for each individual guest, and one for each speaker.

Because Corporate Chronicles™ are so easy to mail, many firms order extras to send to folks who were unable to attend the celebration — distant relatives, college roommates, childhood pals . . . The unique newsletters can also be slipped in an album or Corporate Time Capsule.

Skimping is not advised. Keep in mind that the price difference between 150 and 250 copies is minimal.

How Do I Distribute Corporate Chronicles™?

Party Planners usually arrange for the personalized newsletters to be placed at each table setting. One Corporate Chronicle™ per person works best.
